Microsoft made massive news in the industry when they unveiled their intent and eventual purchase of Activision Blizzard. This big move cost quite a bit of money to settle. However, now that the purchase went through over a year ago, some fans wonder when some of these new IPs under Microsoft’s control will land on their Game Pass subscription service. Well, one of the earlier classics attached to this acquisition will see a debut on the PC game pass this month. A leaker has recently unveiled that Diablo is coming our way soon.
A new leak about the next Activision Blizzard game coming to Game Pass has emerged. Thanks to a report from Insider Gaming, we’re finding out that leaker eXtas1s has alerted their followers on YouTube that the original Diablo game will launch on the subscription service in January. It’s worth noting that this is just for the PC Game Pass and will be available through BattleNet.
Of course, it’s unknown when the next Activision Blizzard game will be available on the subscription service. This is purely a rumor as we wait for the confirmation to roll out officially. Meanwhile, there are more than a few games players are hoping to see get added to the fold since the acquisition was finalized. At any rate, we’ll not only have to wait and see if Diablo is coming to PC Game Pass this month but also if Microsoft has any other plans to release some additional Activision Blizzard games to the mix for the first wave of January 2025 additions.
As for Diablo, players can soon see its humble origins and gain access to the latest installment, Diablo IV, which was released in 2023. If you’re interested in the latest mainline installment, you’ll find our Before You Buy coverage of the game in the video embedded below.
