The Outer Worlds was released in 2019, a smash hit that made it onto everything, including the Nintendo Switch. During the 2024 Game Awards, we were reminded that a part two is coming from a studio that has majored in part twos. A witty trailer promising everything from originally planned content to more action, more weapons and more graphics… This sequel apparently took 3 times longer to make than the original game.
A day-one release for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, this sequel promises to be at least twice as big as the first game. The Outer Worlds 2 will be landing on consoles in 2025.
The Outer Worlds 2 will be coming to Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Game Pass. If the gameplay trailer is anything to go by, the game will feature the same fast-paced action, exploration, and irreverent humour. There is no known firm release date as yet. We can only hope it will be sooner rather than later.
