We’re not far off now until we finally break into 2025. The new year comes with a batch of new games we can’t wait to get our hands on. One of the early new releases for 2025 will be Monster Hunter Wilds. For fans who were a bit uncertain about their beta experience, a developer wants to clarify that a big issue some fans had was actually a bug that had been cleared out since then.
The Monster Hunter Wilds beta gave fans a sneak peek of what the game will be like. After it kicked off on November 1 and went through until November 4, players have been submitting their feedback on the experience. One of the big issues fans faced was that monsters were quickly moving around the map too much. It was only a few hits before a monster would take off, leaving some fans more than frustrated as they would have to follow after it.
There were fears that this new mechanic, which would see players chasing after these beasts more frequently, would be featured in the main game. However, that’s not going to be the case, as VGC has since spoken with the director of Monster Hunter Wilds, Yuya Tokuda. During their conversation, the topic of monsters fleeing too much came up, and Yuya confirmed that this was something they took note of in the feedback.
However, the mechanic fans were getting frustrated with wasn’t actually a new mechanic but instead a bug. Developers found this issue and have since fixed it. So, you can rest assured that players will not have to deal with this problem as they venture into the full game when it launches next year.
In Monster Hunter Wilds, players take on the role of a hunter who travels to the Forbidden Lands in search of a missing expedition party. However, you’ll find that this unpopulated land is filled with monsters to slay. Capcom is set to launch this game into the marketplace on February 28, 2025. You can pick up a copy on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms when the game is released. In the meantime, you can check out a trailer for the upcoming title in the video we have embedded below.
