Kid Icarus, Nintendo's long-running and much-followed IP, will make its anticipated return to fans with its Nintendo 3DS installment entitled Kid Icarus: Uprising. Currently in development from Project Sora, Nintendo hope to use the brand name of Kid Icarus with the title to further boost the somewhat lacklustre sales the third-dimensional-compatible handheld device has experienced thus far. The publisher has now released a brand-new trailer for Kid Icarus: Uprising, specifically showcasing the game’s multiplayer component.
Kid Icarus: Uprising is currently scheduled for a release on March 22nd 2012 in Japan, whilst the United States will receive the game a day later. Finally, it’ll release within European territories on the 23rd.
Also, for those who decide or are currently on the fence of pre-ordering, GameStop or Amazon.com are offering an incentive in the form of a download code that will deliver a download code for the original Kid Icarus upon its re-release in a 3D format.
