If you’re a fan of the original Control by Remedy Entertainment, you’ll likely be waiting for the sequel to be released. We’ve known for a while now that Remedy would be bringing out a Control 2. However, details about what the game will entail have been a mystery. While we’re still waiting for more information to see what the next game will offer, it has been revealed that some RPG elements will be present this time around.
Thanks to a report from The Verge, we’re learning that Remedy Entertainment held an investor presentation. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much here to dive into about Control 2. However, it was during this presentation that it was reported Remedy Entertainment’s new push to bring out an action RPG experience. That will be a bit of a new change to the gameplay experience. But we’re left waiting to see what all will be changing to the gameplay experience compared to the first installment.
It might be a little while before we learn more about Control 2. Remedy Entertainment has a few projects in the works, and they seem to be enjoying the push to deliver an interconnected universe with their IPs. Right now, their next title release is set to be FBC: Firebreak.
If you don’t recall, FBC: Firebreak is Remedy Entertainment’s first multiplayer FPS experience. Players will step into the Oldest House and attempt to defeat the Hiss. We’re still waiting to learn more about this game, but we know that this title is set to take place after the events of Control. So, if you have yet to go through the first game, you might want to prioritize that. FBC: Firebreak doesn’t have a specific release date, but we should see it launch sometime within 2025 for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
