Stalker 2: Heart of Chorobyl has quite a lengthy development cycle. It wasn’t an easy feat for the developers at GSC Game World, but they continued to push through the obstacles, and now, this past weekend, the development team revealed a big milestone. If you missed the news, this past weekend, it was unveiled that GSC Game World has managed to reach the fabled Gold status for their upcoming FPS title. Nothing should be stopping this game from arriving in the marketplace on time.
Taking to YouTube, the GSC Game World released a trailer highlighting that they have reached the gold status milestone. This milestone is a significant accomplishment that every development studio strives for when it comes to their projects. For those now in the know, reaching gold essentially means the studio has a build capable of being mass-produced. All the content they wish to get through before it reaches the general public’s hands is over with. Now is the time for mass production to get underway, as units will soon begin to ship out to various retailers worldwide.
Of course, developers will often continue to work on the game and prepare for its first patch. This patch typically eliminates more bugs that might arise or further optimizes the game. But for now, the development team is likely celebrating the massive accomplishment of getting this game through the finish line and out the door.
