The PlayStation Vita is set to launch with a set of social applications enabling users to keep in touch with their friends through Facebook, Twitter and Flickr. The last one's useful, since the PS Vita has a pair of cameras installed.
Rather than bundling these apps together with the PS Vita, each of these applications is free to download from the PlayStation Store, and is entirely optional.
Don't forget to head on over to the PlayStation Store once you pick up the Vita, and tweet about it to make everyone who's following you a little jealous of your new toy.
