Alan Wake PC Profitable in Less Than 2 Days

February 20, 2012 by Lyle Smith

Remedy seems to be very happy with the way sales are going.

Alan Wake's PC release has come and gone. But how were its sales? Well, apparently pretty good according to Remedy. The popular horror-action title is currently in second place on Steam’s weekly Charts and managed to achieve the #1 spot on release day. Remedy has stated that they were happy with the game’s sales several days ago but they did not release any sales figures.

But guess what? Alan Wake PC is deemed profitable in less than 48 hours.

Remedy’s Aki Järvilehto touched on the subject when fans asked about Alan Wake’s PC sales on the official forums:

“I wanted to chime in here. We are very happy with the sales and hitting #1 on Steam at launch was nothing short of amazing. We recouped our development and marketing expenses during the first 48 hours. And yes, we’re certainly very excited about PC.”

Good news, everyone! This means we will likely see more future iterations of Alan Wake on the PC; hopefully 'American Nightmare' will make its way to the platform some time after its XBLA release, which is due for launch this week on February 22, 2012.
