When teenagers argue about video games with their parents, doors are slammed and names are shouted. One Japanese mother probably wishes it were that easy after her son stabbed her over a video game purchase.
A fourteen year old boy in Japan's Aichi Prefecture was arrested after stabbing his mother with a sashimi knife. The stabbing took place after an argument about the boy purchasing a game without his mother’s permission.
Yomiuri News reports that the boy stabbed his 50 year old mother once in the back at 5:35PM. "Since she got angry at me for buying a video game without permission and confiscated it, I got pissed,” the boy said.
Although she suffered serious injury from the attack, the boy’s mother was still able to call for help immediately. The police arrived immediately, making the arrest and taking the boy into custody.
I can’t figure out if this is better or worse than trying to shove a remote up your butt in a fit of rage.
