Announced through a press release earlier today, Codex Worlds, a development studio founded by former Ubisoft members, has announced that Infinium Strike will be heading to the PlayStation 4. Previously, it was revealed that not only will PC gamers get the upcoming strategy-action hybrid, but so will Xbox One owners.
This is a Kickstarter-funded video game title that was originally set to release only on Windows, Mac, and Linux though the game has also been announced for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Overall, the game puts players into the shoes of weapons officer that aboard a battle carrier known as the Freedom Strike.
The Freedom Strike is the only human ship that’s made out of a rare element known as Infinium. Players must strategically place their ship, turrets, dispatched fleets of the Freedom Strike’s fighting vessels, along with other high-tech superweapons, in order to fight against an alien invasion.
Earth is under attack from an alien species known as the Wrog and you’re one of the last defenses for the survival of humanity. As mentioned, the video game Infinium Strike is coming out for both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at some point within the third quarter of this year.
Likewise, the game will also be releasing for PC users on Steam this July 14, 2016. If you have yet to check out the gameplay for Infinium Strike then take a look at the video posted above along with the screenshot gallery featured down below.
