I'm a little late to the party reporting on this, but figured that because I've spent the last four months repeatedly stating that we'd never ever get any of the announced PS2 Classics, I feel it's only fair that I write up just how wrong I am. The EU territory has finally got some PS2 classics – 27 of them, in fact – and enough of them to shut up the naysayers.
With that said, there's not a lot there that are especially worth picking up. As with PS1 classics, Disney have been a major supporter of the scheme bringing out things like Chicken Little, Quack Attack and Disney Princess Enchanted Journey. Those will likely sell very well, an added bonus being that I remember Quack Attack wasn't awful (never played the others, but am incredibly tempted by Enchanted Journey).
Other games of note are the two Maximo games, SSX On Tour and God Hand. All the other games, I've never played so it's difficult to judge whether they're good or not but going on the star rating given out by users on the store, I think its fair to say the majority are things you'll probably want to pass on. All in all though, it's a fairly healthy start and shows, without a doubt, that actually the SCEE store team usually deliver on their promises in a pretty big way.
