The more we see of Max Payne 3, the less worried we are that Rockstar has drifted away from franchise roots. Still not sold? Watch this newly released story trailer and you'll see what we mean.
Sure, the move to São Paulo makes the noir angle a harder sell, and our hero's chrome-domed makeover is still a bit jarring, but it's quite clear from the new trailer that Rockstar has kept the most important aspect of the series intact: Max's undying love for gaudy Hawaiian shirts.
Oh, and I guess the trailer talks a bit about the plot as well. Private security job, boss's wife gets brutally kidnapped, violent street gangs, "web of intrigue," etc. But really, that's all just an distraction from the real star of the game, Max's hideous parrot shirt.
Max Payne 3 is out for the 360 and PS3 on May 15 in North America and May 18 in Europe, with the PC versions following on May 29 and June 1, respectively.
