Five Nights Freddy’s is a massive franchise that continues to find new installments after its initial 2014 debut. Fans can’t get enough of the games, and developers are still firing them to the marketplace. One of the latest releases from the franchise was limited to the PC platform. However, that’s changing this month as we’re discovering Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into The Pit is set to come to consoles before September wraps up.
Mega Cat Studios brought out Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into The Pit into the marketplace in August of this year. The developers adapted the Fazbear Frights: Into the Pit novel to a video game, and it’s a bit different from what you might have been used to with this IP. In this game, we’re getting a full 2D-pixel art experience. Players are taking on the role of Oswald, a kid who just wants to make his life and town a little more eventful.
However, after making this wish and exploring the rundown pizzeria, Oswald gets transported in time. Now trapped with the deadly animatronics of this pizzeria, Oswald is forced to survive the week, solve puzzles, and save your friends and family from an untimely demise. With that said, there is replay value here as well since players have multiple endings they can unlock.
The game has been receiving positive reviews on the PC platform. But as mentioned, the console ports are coming soon. Mega Cat Studios took to their X account this past weekend to unveil that September 27, 2024, will be the official launch date for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. In the meantime, you can view a trailer for the game embedded below.
