Recently, video games have been getting more recognition for their incredible storylines. With the various successful adaptations we’re seeing in both films and television series, there are plenty of newcomers picking up video game titles than before. It’s great to see as players can watch some genuinely remarkable video game storyline experiences unfold. The medieval game Kingdom Come Deliverance II is one of those experiences that we’re hopeful will arrive with a thrilling storyline.
The game was unveiled in April of this year to get fans hyped for the upcoming release. It seems the folks over at Warhorse Studios were putting in the work to ensure this upcoming installment would be memorable. If you enjoyed the first game, we know that this sequel will feature a larger world to explore, where we once again step into the role of Henry from the previous entry.
What might have intrigued some players is that this script for the game is absolutely stacked. Daniel Vávra is a lead writer who previously wrote for games such as the Mafia series and, in this case, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, along with the sequel. Recently Daniel took to X and revealed that the Kingdom Come: Deliverance II script is 2,200,000 words. That is quite a lengthy experience that fans will be playing through when the game drops.
Daniel revealed how big this script is to give you an idea of how it compares to other written works. The script length is about the size of 11,000 typical screenwriting pages, a hundred scripts for a two-hour movie, or over twenty average-length novels. So, if you’re a fan of storylines in video games, you might have quite a journey ahead of you with this RPG.
Meanwhile, fans eager to dive into this game will have to wait a bit longer. The game was initially planned to be released this year. However, it was earlier this month that Kingdom Come: Deliverance II was unveiled to be delayed to February 11, 2025. When the game arrives in the marketplace, you’ll find it available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms.
