The newest firmware update for the PlayStation 5 is here. Coming it at around 1.2 GB in size, the update adds some handy new features for players, and also improves the system’s software performance and stability.
The new firmware update highlights the ability to invite friends to game sessions by simply sharing a URL. When opening the session’s action card, players can select ‘Share Link,’ and then scan a QR code with a mobile device. This will open a link to a game session that can be shared with others, and can quickly be used to invite friends to parties on the PlayStation 5.
Additionally, the update allows players to open the Game Help action cards via voice command. This feature is currently only available in English for players with accounts for the PlayStation Network in the US and UK, but it will be rolled out to other regions in the near future.
