Last month, Nintendo announced that game demos would soon be gracing the 3DS eShop, including one for Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D. At the time, the Snake Eater demo was pegged for the always fun "unspecified later date," but now Nintendo has announced that you'll be able to grab an early look at the game this Thursday, February 16.
Apart from the requisite 3D visuals, the port features a new control scheme that's been designed specifically for the handheld and the ability to create custom camouflage patterns by taking pictures with the 3DS's built-in camera.
There's no word on whether the custom camo feature has made it into the demo, but Nintendo has confimed that the taster will include support for Snake Eater 3D's optional Circle Pad Pro control scheme, so if you've already picked up the peripheral, you'll be able to see how well it works with the game.
The full version of Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D will be released on February 21 in North America and March 8 in both Europe and Japan.
