Sony has released a launch trailer for Uncharted: Golden Abyss, showcasing a brief glimpse at the story and gameplay of Drake's Vita debut.
Developed by SCE Bend Studio, Golden Abyss marks the first time the franchise has appeared on a handheld. The game functions as a prequel to Naughty Dog's PS3 trilogy, seeing Nathan Drake and his long-time life partner Sully travel to Central America in search of a lost city and the truth behind a lost 16th century Spanish expedition.
Early reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, with many outlets hailing the game as the standout title in the Vita's rather packed launch lineup.
Uncharted: Golden Abyss is already available through select retailers and for download through the PlayStation Store. The Vita itself doesn't officially launch until February 22, though a special First Edition Bundle featuring the handheld, a memory card, and a copy of Little Deviants will be released this Wednesday.
