A terrifying new single-player horror adventure game is coming later this year, and it’s one that was announced way back in 2021. Developer Stormind Games and publisher Saber Interactive have announced A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, a spin-off of the horror movie series, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
Check out the horrifying reveal trailer below:
“A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a single-player horror adventure game inspired by the critically acclaimed blockbuster movie franchise that highlights a unique survivor story after an invasion of deadly creatures,” the official description reads. “In this exclusive spin-off, experience the journey of a young woman who must endure a treacherous apocalypse in the midst of interpersonal family conflicts, all while coming to terms with her own inner fears.”
The game promises an unnerving atmosphere, as players will need to move around while staying absolutely silent to avoid monsters that hunt using sound.
The first film in the A Quiet Place film series was released in 2018. A Quiet Place Part II followed in 2020 and a spin-off film, A Quiet Place: Day One, will be released in theaters on June 28. The third and final sequel, A Quiet Place Part III, is scheduled to be released sometime in 2025.
Each film takes place in a world inhabited by blind alien creatures with an acute sense of hearing.
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam in 2024.
