While the importance of the Spike VGAs is the subject of debate, the Interactive Achievement Awards are a night of awarding outstanding achievement without Felicia Day getting messy with food objects. So who took out the titles this year?
The 15th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards were held at DICE in Las Vegas, and Jay Mohr’s hosting aside, it was a somewhat humbling and heartwarming event without gimmicks or viewer voting and only a few bad jokes.
While some winners were hardly a shock, such as Bastion’s award for Best Downloadable game, others were a little more surprising – like Skylanders’ win for Outstanding Innovation in Gaming.
Uncharted 3 made a clean sweep in the art portion of the awards (Outstanding Achievement in Animation, Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction, Outstanding Achievement in Visual Engineering,) while Skyrim took out four awards including the ever coveted Game Of The Year.
I was watching, but I was too busy trying to wipe the image of Mohr in his underwear from my mind to list the winners, so here’s one thanks to Kotaku.
