Apparently, there are gamers out there that are upset with the amount of DLC that has been announced for the much anticipated Mass Effect 3; some even going as far as saying they will wait until a “Game of the Year Edition” is released, which, they assume, will contain all downloadable content and expansions. But hold on! Bioware’s Chris Priestly has recently warned fans that they shouldn’t wait for it. Here's what he had to say on the official forums:
Don't wait. There were people who said the same thing about waiting for an ME2 GOTY to play and that hasn't happened. ME3 is damned good. I'm not saying a GOTY edition or some sort of series collection or whatever will never happen, but do you want to take the risk?
I can't imagine why anyone would deprive themselves from a game, which is likely to be an incredible experience, for that long just because of a few DLC that probably won't even significantly impact the end-game. Like Priestly said, there's no guarantee that a GOTY edition will even be released, so don't take that chance! I usually just ignore DLC, myself, anyway.
Mass Effect 3 is due out on March 6th.
