MERP (Middle Earth Role-Playing Project) was originally planned to be a mod for Oblivion; however, it has recently been under ongoing, heavy modification for Skyrim's engine.

If and when MERP is ever completed (and I REALLY hope it does), it will allow gamers to experience the ring-bearer's quest from classic novels and films, Lord of The Rings. Instead of just being Frodo, however, players will have the choice of being one of ten playable races, including elves, hobbits, dwarves, and men.
