The Vita hasn't sold very well in Japan, but has maintained nice reviews all around. When its released in the EU and US regions in a fortnight, there'll be a great many games available and however many digital PSP games you can get as well, so perhaps more people are likely to invest than in Japan. That's a great thing, because Ken Levine, creator of Bioshock, thinks that you'll be able to do things on the Vita that you've never been able to do before.
"It's a really interesting platform because, as a gamer, it's the first platform that really sort of gives of everything. It's the first time I can play things like shooters on an aeroplane; and I don't like feeling I'm playing something that's compromised in any way."
There will be whole kinds of games that you wouldn't have been able to play before on the Vita."
Those are pretty big words and, since I've pre-ordered, I'm very happy to hear them.
