Activision has announced that Modern Warfare 3's next DLC drop, a multiplayer map by the name of Overwatch, will be releasing to Xbox 360 Elite subscribers two weeks from today on February 21.
Overwatch is set in a construction site atop a New York City skyscraper. As you might expect, fighting 70 feet above the ground carries its share of risks, and you'll need to be careful when navigating around, as there are no safety barriers to stop you from plummeting to an untimely demise.
Due to an exclusivity deal with Microsoft, Elite subscribers on PlayStation 3 will need to wait a few weeks before they can give Overwatch a try. Infinity Ward previously announced that the first two content drops, the Liberation and Piazza maps, will be available to PS3 Elite subs on February 28, so they can likely expect the same five week delay for all future releases.
Those who haven't ponied up for premium Elite status — as well as PC players, since Elite is MIA on that platform for the foreseeable future — will need to wait for a more traditional DLC bundle, the first of which is scheduled for release next month.
Acitivison has also confirmed that the next three content drops, scheduled to go live for 360 Elites in March, will be a multiplayer map, Black Box, and two new Spec Ops missions, Black Ice and Negotiator.
