Twisted Metal was delayed in Europe last week when it was revealed that developer Eat Sleep Play needed to make content edits in order to get universal publication of the game. Explaining that because Twisted Metal had never been a big seller outside of America, there was no point in having more than one version for release in Europe, Jaffe announced that the game was delayed region-wide in order to tone down certain acts of violence both within the game and within cut scenes, with no specific date given as to when it'll be released.
That has now been cleared up, you'll be able to trash freaky looking characters in super-fast vehicles sooner than you probably thought. It'll still be three weeks after the American release, but March 7th is by no means too far away. If you've been enjoying the beta – and something tells me you probably have given the great things I've heard about it – the full game is right around the corner.
The American version, for those of you that can't wait and want to import, comes out on Valentine's Day.
