Look, I’m guilty of getting really into my games. Sometimes they get so intense that you don’t even notice that your friend has died next to you and that you’ve been sitting next to a corpse for a few hours – so I can hardly blame these guys in Taiwan for letting that one slip under the radar.
The 29 year old man died in an internet cafe in Taipei, and was discovered dead by a waitress hours later. The man was still sitting rigidly in his seat with his hands stretched out when he was discovered.
Despite around 30 people being in the cafe at the time, the dead man remained unnoticed for up to nine hours according to the waitress that discovered him. While there’s no cause of death determined yet, an initial police investigation suspects he may have died of cardiac arrest caused by low temperatures.
It’s not known what game everyone was playing at the time.
