If you'd have told me a five years ago that I'd one day be able to get Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 on a tiny card, playable on the move and complete with external trophies I'd have laughed and laughed. How could anybody possibly fit such huge games onto a portable system and make it work as well as on the original disks?
This just goes to show how quickly things evolve, the PlayStation Vita version of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection – quite noticably missing Peace Walker – is still on its way. This picture, tweeted by Hideo Kojima, came with the announcement that Keiji Fujuwara, the Japanese voice of Sigint in Metal Gear Solid 3 (and Drebin in 4), had been in the recording studio to redo some lines for the Vita version of the game. This is presumably because the game will use some touch screen controls.
No news on when exactly this will be out in the west, nor if there'll be any advantage to rebuying the Vita version if you already have the HD Collection and aren't interested it playing on the move, but you'll definitely have to watch this space.
