Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s DLC Epilogue Quest Is Now Available

January 11, 2024 by Todd Black

And it all starts with a Mystery Gift…

The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC has been out for a while now in both parts. So you can start with “The Teal Mask” and get right to the land of Kitakami to see where the adventure will begin, and then dive into “The Indigo Disk” to see how it all wraps up while you school some new faces. But a while back, The Pokemon Company revealed that the story wasn’t quite done. There was one last “thread” that needed to be tied off, and that epilogue quest can be played today! To celebrate, a new mini-trailer for the event has dropped.

So what’s the story? Well, it ties back to the main tale of “The Teal Mask.” To recap, that story was about the local legend of Kitakami and how an “ogre” terrorized the town. The Pokemon was eventually beaten by “The Loyal Three,” but it was at the cost of those three Pokemon’s lives. Fast forward to now, and you will go on a quest to learn the truth about the legend and get all four of those Pokemon. However, one part of the legend didn’t get touched on. The Loyal Three had a “master” that gave them their incredible powers. So, who were they? And why did they do what they did?

Well, in the trailer below, we get the information on how we’ll lure this Pokemon out of wherever it’s hiding. It’s rather apt that a Pokemon named Pecharunt will be brought out by a “Mythical Pecha Berry” you can get right now via Mystery Gift. Check it out below:

The adventure isn’t one you have to do alone, as Penny, Arven, and Nemona will be tagging along this time around to help you settle things once and for all!

But can you access the epilogue right now? Nintendo of America posted some tweets about that, so there’s no confusion. To get access to the epilogue, you must finish the main storylines for both “The Teal Mask” and “The Indigo Disk.” Then, after you get your Mystery Gift Mythical Pecha Berry, you go to Peachy’s in Mossui Town and let the game do the rest!

To play The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero epilogue, you will need to complete a postgame event in #PokemonScarletViolet game and complete the stories of The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk.

By all indications, this will be the last content for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which has had a very interesting run since launching in 2022. However, we could be in for another surprise with Pokemon Day coming next month. Only time will tell.
