Starfield Fans Discover A Dialogue Option Error

January 5, 2024 by Dennis Patrick

Oops.

Starfield was easily one of the more anticipated games that was released last year. For years, Bethesda had slowly teased this new RPG IP being developed. Initially, the game was meant to be a title launch across both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles alongside the PC platform. However, that quickly changed when Microsoft acquired Bethesda when they purchased ZeniMax Media. As a result, we now have an Xbox-exclusive franchise from the folks behind The Elder Scrolls and Fallout. But being that this is such a massive RPG, there were bound to be some issues fans would uncover.

We knew Bethesda was taking their time on this game. With only relying on the Xbox Series X/S and PC platforms, there was likely more time to optimize the gameplay experience further. Despite that, there are some issues fans quickly took up with. For instance, fans felt certain features were necessary in this game, such as having a map system that could help indicate where certain shops and buildings were located when roaming a city. While Bethesda will likely have several features and fixes this year, one fan noticed a small error from a dialogue option.

Thanks to DualShockers, we’re finding out that a Reddit user alerted the Starfield community of a Riujin quest line error. The user noted an issue when speaking to Barrett. During the conversation, a dialogue option popped up stating, “I don’t just corporations. Simple.” which fans are quickly poking fun at. It might spark some interest in investigating the dialogue options in a bit more detail to see just where else Bethesda might have made a mistake.

At any rate, as mentioned, this RPG is huge, so there are bound to be plenty of small mistakes that were overlooked. If you haven’t already played Starfield, the game is available right now on PC and Xbox Series X/S platforms. Of course, since this is a first-party Microsoft title, you’ll find Starfield available through the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. Furthermore, we should see more content hitting the game throughout this year. Players will get mod support this year, and Bethesda is working on their first expansion, Shattered Space. But if you’re just looking for more insight into Starfield, then we do have a Before You Buy that can be viewed below. That will give you more information not only on the storyline for this RPG but also on some of the gameplay mechanics. As always, we keep our Before You Buy content free from spoilers.
