There are plenty of exciting games to look forward to playing this year. We just ended 2023, which had its massive collection of incredible releases. However, now we can start focusing on the games that are coming out this year. We’re sure that you already have a few games on your radar to pick up at launch. However, there might be some games that might have been curious as to when they would even be released. Today, Sony has released a new PlayStation reel that hypes up the games coming our way this year, including Silent Hill 2.
We’re fresh into 2024, and some marketing materials are already hitting the web to excite what’s to come this year. Sony was up to bat and delivered a new reel highlighting several games slated to launch on their PlayStation 5 console. This is a collection of titles and does not specifically highlight any one particular game. But it’s worth noting that one of the games that was featured was Silent Hill 2. We’ve seen a few reports lately revolved around the Silent Hill IP, so seeing something official like a PlayStation reel for 2024 at least confirms we’ll get the game before the year wraps.
If you don’t recall, there was a report from a producer for Silent Hill that noted 2024 being a year to liven up with games. Meanwhile, there was also a report from an industry insider that claims Bloober Team, the studio behind the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake, was working on their next game. That would suggest that whatever crew is left on the project mainly polishing the title for its release into the marketplace. Unfortunately, we haven’t yet received a release date on the game.
Again, this is just one of the games featured in the latest marketing reel that hit the public. For instance, another title featured for this year is Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. You’ll find a wide range of different games featured. If you haven’t seen the footage quite yet from Sony PlayStation, we have the trailer video embedded below. For now, all we can do is wait for Konami to make the official reveal as to when we can get our hands on the Silent Hill 2 remake. With that said, we know that Silent Hill 2 will be a timed console exclusive for the PlayStation 5. But we will also see the game on the PC platform outside of the PS5 console.
