Skyrim's long awaited suite of modding tools, dubbed the "Creation Kit," will be released on Steam next Tuesday alongside a mysterious surprise, Bethesda has announced.
The company's VP in charge of public relations, Pete Hines, confirmed the release date via Twitter.
"For our Skyrim PC fans, the Creation Kit is on track for release on Tuesday. And, we also have a special surprise with it. #whatcoulditbe!?"
The Creation Kit will provide Skyrim modders with access to the same suite of tools Bethesda used to build the game. We can't wait to see what they'll come up with, especially given the crazy things they've done without all these fancy tools. Bethesda has also worked with Valve to integrated the tools into the Steam workshop, allowing users to browse and install all the latest mods from a single, easy to use source.
And as for that mysterious surprise? We're betting Bethesda has made Macho Man Randy Savage dragons mandatory. Well, not betting so much as hoping.
