One of the most influential games of the late eighties, early nineties may be getting a revival, at least if a leaked listing on an internal EA wiki is anything to go by. Discovered by French site HardGamers, the internal wiki also reveals an unannounced game from former Resistance developer Insomniac Games called Outernauts.
Populous, the God-sim that put Fable lead Peter Molyneux on the map, was the beginning of the golden age of Bullfrog strategy games and would evolve into Theme Park, Dungeon Keeper and, ultimately, Black and White. With the mergence of touch screen smart phones, it doesn't come as too much of a surprise to see this sort of game making a resurgence, although actual details are as of yet not available.
The same could be said for Outernauts, we know it exists and that's about it, but given that we don't have many details of their other title, Overstrike, I can't imagine we'll be hearing too much about it in the immediate future.
