Alan Wake PC Priced and Dated, Now Coming to Origin

February 2, 2012 by Josh Harmon

The self-published PC release of Alan Wake is no longer a Steam exclusive.

The PC version of Alan Wake will be released digitally on February 16, Remedy Entertainment has announced.

The standard version of the game, which both DLC epsiodes, will set you back $29.99, while the Limited Collectors Edition will cost $34.99. Remedy has yet to announce what extras the LCE will include, but we can expect to hear more details closer to launch.

The retail release, which is being handled by publisher Nordic Games, may differ slightly in both timing and price, but Remedy says they'll be revealing that information in the near future.

In related news, EA has announced that Remedy will be bringing Alan Wake to their Origin at launch. Remedy has signed on as part of the latest batch of third-party publishing partners for the service, alongside Iceberg Interactive, Strategy First, Macro Games, Selectsoft and Legendo Entertainment.

Later this month, on February 22, Remedy will also release a 360-exclusive downloadable sequel to Alan Wake, American Nightmare, as part of Microsoft's XBLA House Party promotion.
