Skull and Bones Release Date Reportedly Leaked

November 28, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

That’s if we don’t see another delay.

Skull and Bones is a game Ubisoft has been struggling to get out into the marketplace. The title was first developed back in 2013 before it was ready to be unveiled during E3 2017. At the time, it was a game meant to be released for last-generation console platforms alongside the PC. But as you all know, the game has been delayed multiple times now. It’s missed the release for last-generation platforms, and it’s likely been tweaked quite a bit since its initial development cycle. We’ve been waiting on when the game will launch as we never received a specific release date attached to this game project. Thanks to Insider Gaming, we might know when Ubisoft plans to bring this game out.

Ubisoft Singapore unveiled that the game would be released sometime in early 2024. According to what Insider Gaming has learned, the release date that fans should be looking at for this game is February 16, 2024. That should mean we’ll get an official release date announcement soon. If that’s the case, it could mean an appearance during this year’s The Game Awards event. Beyond that release date, the publication also noted that there is a new premium edition that will be unveiled for interested players.

We’re uncertain exactly what the premium edition will feature for the game, although Insider Gaming noted that they know there are at least three days of early access. Outside of that, we’re left with nothing else to help indicate just what players might find featured in the game’s premium edition. Of course, the big question here is just how well critics and fans will receive the game. It’s a game we’ve waited years for, so hopefully, the lengthy wait will result in a solid gameplay experience when it does launch.

For those of you unaware, Skull and Bones is a game centered around piracy and ship warfare. The title is set during the 17th century when piracy peaked. Players will get an open world as they sail the Indian Ocean for loot, either alone or with a crew of friends crewing the ship. Again, the release date noted above is not official right now, as Ubisoft still only has this game slated to release in early 2024. But when the game is released, you can expect it to be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Amazon Luna.
