Housemarque, the renowned indie developer behind Super Stardust HD (PS3) and Dead Nation (PS3), have unleashed Furmins upon the iOS market today. It looks…absolutely adorable.
Furmin is a physics puzzle game that has the player guiding the titular race of creatures through levels by creating a pathway for them to reach their goal, rearranging items that may be in the way and making use of bumpers and conveyor belts.
Their goal, according to the game’s official site, is this:
“Things were rolling along great until the fateful day their benevolent (yet rather large) King fell asleep, rolled over a river forming an impromptu dam and blocked their flow of water!”
In other words, a Snorlax blocks their path and it’s up to you to ensure the continued existence of the sickeningly cute Furmins by helping them to reach the King and wake him up.
Furmins comes complete with over 70 levels across 6 game worlds, and additional content is available through in-app purchases. A Universal (or HD, ideal for iPads) version of the game is available in the app store for $2.99, while the iPhone/iPod version is just $0.99. See the trailer below.
