Konami has announced that the latest edition to their popular soccer franchise, Pro Evolution Soccer 2012, is now available for the 3DS. Here’s what Konami Digital Entertainment’s brand new President, Tomoyuki Tsuboi, had to say on the matter.
"With 3D imaging capability, Pro Evolution Soccer fans will have the most authentic soccer experience short of actually stepping onto the field and scoring a goal. We're thrilled to offer this new version to Pro Evolution Soccer with enhanced images to fans around the world."
Players are given the option of using either their stylus or good old buttons and analog stick to control their team, and new camera techniques are designed to show off the 3D element of the game.
On top of being able to play against friends over WiFi or Wireless settings, Master League team data can now be exchanged Street Pass style and they can, in turn, play against the exchanged team—though the team would be played by AI.
The Master Leagues feature, in which players develop a team of unknowns into a legendary football team, is now apparently a “vital” part of PES 2012. In addition, the Become a Legend feature tasks the player with overseeing one soccer player as they rise the ranks to superstardom.
