Disney Dreamlight Valley was a huge hit when it was first released into the marketplace. Players were getting a casual life simulation game similar to what we find in Animal Crossing. However, for a good while now, the game was stuck in early access. So, while the developers continued to bring out new content for the title, players were providing great feedback. With that said, it looks like the community is making a demand that Gameloft returns and brings back one attribute to the game, which was taken away from the studio.
Doors have all been standard, but that wasn’t always the case. Players could customize them in the past, but this feature was removed in a past update. Now, thanks to Dexerto, we’re finding out about a Reddit thread where players are becoming vocal over the return of door customization options. We’re nearing the official launch date for the game, where Gameloft will see Disney Dreamlight Valley turn into a full gameplay experience rather than sticking around under early access. According to the Reddit thread, several players hope that this full launch will bring back the option to tweak doors toward a player’s liking.
Right now, all the doors are the same, which features a window at the top of the door. It’s essentially an exterior door design. However, fans are not thrilled with this design, especially when they are used for interior rooms. As a result, it’s hopeful that more variation options are returning to the game. But unfortunately, we don’t know if that will be the case. Fans are clearly all for this option making a return, so hopefully, the developers will have something ready by the time the game launches or shortly afterward.
Meanwhile, with the full launch ahead, there’s plenty of content waiting for players. For instance, the first paid expansion will be available with A Rift in Time. That will bring players with a new area to explore along with quests. But beyond that, there are still quite a few surprises left for players who are just after free content. A roadmap for the rest of this year and into the next offers a brief glimpse into some of the content plans the developers have in store for the game. This includes new realms and villagers. Hopefully, one of these will add more variations to doors for players to use.
