One of the beautiful things about our world is that plenty of places offer special items to those who want more than “just an experience.” For example, video games are an excellent way to have fun. But eventually, you put the games down and move on to something else. However, there are plenty of memorabilia and items that you can buy from those video game worlds that will stand out in your place and help you remember the games and characters more, even when you’re not playing their titles. Fans of Samus Aran have something to be excited about thanks to a pre-order that just launched.
First 4 Figures has announced that the pre-orders for a Samus Aran Varia Suit statue, which recreated her look from the original Metroid Prime title on the Nintendo Gamecube, are now live. As you can see in the images below, the statue is very detailed and features everything you’d expect while seeing Samus in the Varia Suit. The statue stands 11 inches tall, comes with a nice stand of the “Samus Logo” you see in a certain fighting game, and has smaller details that fans will enjoy, like seeing part of Samus’ face!
Plus, according to the tweet, you can get $10 off if you pre-order it! So you’ll save money and get a cool statue! What more could you want?
As for what’s next for Samus, her adventures will continue. We just don’t know how yet. For example, earlier this year, we finally got the Metroid Prime Remaster that fans have been hearing about for years, and the game still holds up. Furthermore, we know that a 4th entry in the Prime Saga is coming from Retro Studios, but we haven’t heard about anything from that game in years, so it’s hard to count on it.
However, we did get Metroid Dread in 2021, and it quickly became the best-selling game in the series, which would indicate that Nintendo, specifically the MercurySteam team, would be hard at work at making the next game in the line following its success. But we haven’t heard anything from them about it. Plus, if they make that specific sequel, it would likely come out on the next console Nintendo makes. Just saying.
That’s not to say that “Samus is doomed,” it’s just that we’re in a weird “lull” period where we simply have to wait for Nintendo to announce things. Hopefully, fans won’t have to wait too much longer.
