Gears of War 4 has a new trailer, and it’s sad—just like the iconic Gears of War trailer released years ago to the tune of Mad World.
This time around, we see a lonesome soldier being chased down, kind of like Marcus Fenix was in the first trailer. The trailer shows off the great visuals that the upcoming title is set to offer. It’s built on the latest version of Unreal Engine and may well be the poster child for the technology when it comes out later this year.
The trailer follows the child of Marcus Fenix, who’s now an adult and walking in the footsteps of his badass dad. He just came out to have a good time and he’s feeling so attacked right now.
Last week, the developers announced the game’s multiplayer beta, which is set to launch on April 18. The multiplayer mode is being developed by Splash Damage, which made Quake Wars and the PC FPS, Dirty Bomb.
Following the release of the trailer, developer The Coalition community director Adam Fletcher wrote on Twitter, “Tonight was awesome! Not slowing down… more things to show #soon.”
Gears of War 4 comes out on October 11 for the Xbox One.
