Remember the crushing disappointment you felt when you heard that the Steam mobile app was only available through a closed beta? The tears you shed wishing that, just this once, they'd pick you? The long, sleepless nights you spent wondering when it would all be over? Probably not, because the beta lasted for a grand total of five days.
Yep. As of today, Steam's Android/iOS app is officially out of beta and open to the public. Now everyone can chat with your friends, browse community profiles and groups, and shop the Steam store from the comfort of your own smartphone.
The app is available as a free download from the App Store and Android Marketplace. You'll need a mobile device with at least iOS 4.0 or Android 2.1 to run it, but other than that, it's open season.
