Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture is coming to the PC. This previously PS4-exclusive game will be making its way over to Windows PCs via Steam later this year. The game can be best described as a “walking sim.”
Speaking to RPS, the game’s creator Dan Pinchbeck called the PC port the studio’s “worst kept secret” and said the developers had begun work on it in September. Sony, which published the PS4 version, will also be publishing it on the PC, including putting it up on Steam and handling everything else.
“It’s good to be back on PC. It’s where we started and it’ll be the home of our next game.”
The Chinese Room is perhaps best known for their first game Dear Esther.
In addition to Rapture, the studio is also developing a new isometric adventure game called Total Dark. The developer says that it started out as a tabletop RPG prototype. It remains to be seen whether their upcoming game will retain some of its RPG elements. More details are expected to come out later today.
