Konami has sent over a gameplay trailer of their new downloadable physics-based puzzle platformer, Puddle, showcasing the game's unique concept in action.
Puddle, which began life as an award winning student project, features a relatively simple (but clever) premise. You're tasked with navigating a blob of liquid through a series of puzzles by tilting the level LocoRoco-style.
Of course, the levels mix things up plenty by introducing new environmental hazards and liquids, each of which has unique properties that you'll need to take into account, like friction, viscosity, and the like. One level, for example, has you navigating rocket fuel through an engine, forcing you to take added care to ensure it doesn't burst into flames.
The PS3 version of Puddle offer support for both Sixaxis and Move, allowing you to tilt the level with motion controls for a bit of added immersion.
Puddle is out today on XBLA for 800 Points. The PSN release is also now avaialable in the UK, but North American PS3 owners will have to wait until next week.
