There’s a brand new trailer for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, the upcoming open-world reboot/prequel/sequel/whatever to Mirror’s Edge. The game’s out in just a couple months’ time and its developers at EA Games and DICE have released a developer diary about the game’s “city and narrative.” The new video follows the previous dev diary, in which the developers discussed how they’re making a better Mirror’s Edge.
Specifically, they explain how the city will feature a day and night cycle with some visuals to give players an idea of what to expect. Unlike the first game, which looked clean and pristine with white buildings everywhere, the game comes alive at night with neon lights straight out of a cyberpunk illustration.
The developers also talk about Faith’s background story, the architectural design that permeates the cityscape, and the factions that players will encounter throughout the great city of Glass.
A previous feature went into some detail about the game’s three major factions.
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst comes out on May 26, 2016 for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
