Save for a woefully vague teaser trailer and a single screenshot, we had no idea what exactly the upcoming Doctor Who game, The Eternity Clock, would be. Now, thanks to a new trailer featuring actual gameplay footage, we've finally got our answer, and it's… a sidescrolling platformer?
Okay, so running and jumping aren't exactly the traditional domain of a Time Lord, but developer Supermassive Games, who've previously worked on DLC packs for LittleBigPlanet 2, certainly has the right experience to make it work. Plus, the line-up of enemies on display here is a who's who of the Doctor's biggest foes, with the Daleks, Cybermen, Silence, and Silurians all making an appearance. Well, no one really cares about the Silurians, but three out of four isn't too bad.
Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock will be out on the PSN sometime in March, offering support for both the PS3 and Vita. A PC release is pegged to follow soon after.
