A listing on Xbox Live Marketplace confirms a few details on Resident Evil 6 that we had, up until now, been a little bit shaky on. For instance, we knew that there would be co-op of some form, it had been confirmed almost as the trailer came out, but we had no idea to what extent. Turns out that the offline game will again support two players, pretty fantastic news for couples who want to slay some undead.
But it's the online co-op that catches the attention, supporting up to six players in one game. How will that play out? Will you be able to play split-screen online? These are questions that, for a time, must go unanswered. Resident Evil 6 will also support an eight player multiplayer mode, here's hoping that it's not added as DLC further down the line…
It's not entirely surprising that the latest in the series will focus so much on online matches considering the comments on trying to steal Call of Duty fans to their own series earlier in the week. We've also got Operation Racoon City on the way, which will also have a pretty large focus on online (and offline) multiplayer modes.
