Thanks to a little light confusion over timelines, some people believed that Resident Evil 6 is a prequel to Resident Evil 5. How that work, I have no idea, and I'm certain that the people repeating that idea have no idea how it works either. If you've ever played RE5 to completion, you'll know that Albert Wesker – a man so comfortable in himself he can utter some of the worst lines in gaming history with blushing – came to something of a sticky end and it seems unlikely that he'll be back in his previous form.
That hasn't stopped the voice actor for the character, DC Douglas, being inundated with questions about the new game, questions which have forced him to comment via both Twitter and Facebook that he has definitely not recorded anything for the game.
Either that means he's not involved or he's been told to say that he's not involved, but I think sensible bets are on the former. When one Wesker gets his superhuman ass kicked, another crawls out of the woodwork, with internet theories stating that Alex Wesker, the only other surviving Wesker, will play a major role in the next game.
