Microsoft have released their earnings for FYQ2 2012, the most important fiscal quarter since it comprises the holiday season.
In the release, it shows a record-selling quarter with 8.2 million Xbox 360 shipments, bringing its total to 65.8 million over its 6 year lifespan. This is up by 1.9 million units during the same quarter last year. In addition, Microsoft also revealed that Kinect has sold over 18 million units and that there is currently 40 million (Gold and Silver) active accounts Xbox Live accounts.
Microsoft’s overall numbers for the quarter also saw record revenue, with $20.9 billion dollars in sales equalling to $6.62 billion dollars in profit.
