Alan Wake developers Remedy Entertainment are on the lookout for a new member of staff to work on "a new iteration of Remedy's in-house engine," the updated engine which they say will be used in the creation of a new "AAA console project." The listing, which calls for an AI programmer, has sparked debate as to what exactly Remedy might be working on, whether it could be an Alan Wake sequel or something completely new.
The important thing to note in my eyes is that Remedy doesn't specify which console they'll be working on for the title, just calling it a console project. Often these job listings say for which platform a game will be developed so that possible applicants are aware of which platform they'll need to have had experience in; that's not to say that Remedy aren't just holding back a little information in order to get somebody multi-talented, but it's the first thing I noticed.
Alan Wake's American Nightmare will be available mid-February.
