The last few months have been great for fans of a certain franchise. We say this because, from October-January, three titles from a series by Atlus made it onto multiple platforms for the first time. Of course, we’re talking about the Persona series, if you couldn’t tell, and fans have been reveling in the fact that they can play the 3rd-5th mainline games on modern consoles and PC. Some have already made big sales, and others have enjoyed gaining popularity. So much so that Atlus thought it would be a fun idea to celebrate the music of Persona 4 Golden with a little help from gamers.
So what did Atlus do? They made a poll where gamers would vote on their favorite tracks from Persona 4 Golden.
The results can be found below:
- Reach Out To The Truth
- Your Affection
- Heaven
- Reach Out To The Truth -First Battle-
- Never More
- Time To Make History
- Snowflakes
- Pursuing My True Self
- Shadow World
- I’ll Face Myself -Battle-
They also made a video below where they play some of the tracks so you can enjoy what fans voted on. So regardless of whether you’re an older fan or a new one, check it out!
After all these years, the franchise getting the multiplatform treatment will likely help the series going forward. Persona 5 Royal was the title that helped make the game more mainstream, but it’s hardly the only good title in the series. Persona 4 Golden was praised by many who played it as one of the best JRPGs of all time. The plot, the characters, and the battle system were all adored. It’s just that not many people played it. But now, with it going multiplatform? More people can enjoy it than ever before.
If you’ve never played the 4th mainline title, it takes place in a small town where a series of murders from a serial killer rocks the townsfolk. A group of teenagers get wrapped up in the murder mystery and must solve it, all the while learning about mysterious new worlds, their strange new partners called Personas, and their feelings about each other.
While the title isn’t as expansive as the game that followed it, you should still try it. You might be surprised by how much you enjoy it!
Plus, Atlus will eventually announce the 6th mainline game in the series, and you’ll want to be caught up on everything before it releases!
