The Binding of Isaac will be getting a massive new content expansion, developer Edmund McMillen has revealed. "The Wrath of the Lamb," as he's calling it, will add tons of new items and features to the game, upping the total from 131 to a whopping 205.
Perhaps the biggest change to the game will be the addition of trinkets, items that you can pick up and hold for passive bonuses. Like pills and cards, you'll only be able to hold one trinkey at a time, but as you can see from the above screenshot, they'll occupy a new, separate slot. There will be a total of 20 different trinkets, which you'll be able to find by using the Fortune Teller Machine, another mysterious new addition.
McMillen's also dishing out new details on the expansion via his Twitter account and Formspring page, including clues that a new playable character is on the way.
According to one tweet, The Wrath of the Lamb won't be out "for months" and will carry a price tag of $3 when it's finally released.
