LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes Officially Announced

January 5, 2012 by Lyle Smith

After months of rumors.

After rumors and speculation over the past couple of months concerning the next LEGO Batman game, Warner Interactive have finally made it official announcing that TT Games are developing LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes.

In the sequel, players will take on the roll of Batman and Robin, joining forces with other super heroes from the DC Universe including Superman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern to save Gotham City from Lex Luthor and the Joker.

The new LEGO Batman game will consist of an all new storyline and send gamers to new areas of Gotham City with a variety of vehicles at their disposal including the Batmobile and Batwing. Players will also be able to use new gadgets and costumes, such as Batman’s Power Suit and Robins’ Hazard Cannon to fight crime with all-new abilities such as flight, super-breath, and heat vision.

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will be released sometime this summer for 3DS, DS, PC, PS3, Vita, Wii, and Xbox 360.

The original LEGO Batman was released in late 2008 and went on to sell a whopping 11 million copies worldwide. It’s a wonder why it took them so long to make such a cash-grabbing game.
